My hope is that folks will find this to be an easy way to share something about their lives nearing 50 years ago. It was about a year ago that I came across my old 1958 yearbook of Washington Township School and thought it might be fun to see if other long ago classmates, their children or others would use a search engine and find a name of someone in these pages. For the most part I have good memories of that school experience and when I looked at the faces I recall even more.
The first to contact me was Colleen Bobay now Colleen MacDougall. She was also in the fourth grade. There have been others and I hope many more to come. Some have found a the name of an old loved one or a parent. This can be a central meeting spot to bring us a bit closer again after a very long lapse of time. Thank goodness for the internet. If you would like to go the website where the names and photographs from the yearbook are just click on this link.

I am so HAPPY to stumble across this website. I work at Washington Center School and I am helping a fifth grade student with his Young Authors book. He is writing about WCS. I tried to find information last year, but struggled. I found your site today! May we contact you for more information? We will be working on his book this month :)

I would be delighted to help and I am forwarding this email to other long ago former students.
Thank you for your interest.
My email is rstamats@gmail.com and the email would better than the blog for contact.
great site richard. how did you come to join troop 13 when wash twp had its own troop 58? from 1978 thru 1993 i lived directly acrross the street from the school on wallen rd. i hope others can send you old pictures as they are great to see! also they should go to classmates.com and put wash twp in their history!
Hi, good to see you enjoyed the website. I joined troop 13, I think because I was a member of the First Presbyterian church. Also several of the boys came from same cub scout troop were members there too. Much of that was determined by my parents, I'm sure. I lived about 4 miles away from Washington Center. It holds wonderful memories for me and you are right about using classmates to reach more alumni.
This is great! I have been helping my boyfriend try to track down information about his family and his mother - who he really did not know well - is in the yearbook! What a cool thing for him to be able to see her photo and begin to learn some history about her. If anyone knows the whereabouts or information on Betsy Carvin...please contact me!
